2010 Board of Deacons

In the spirit of compassion and care, Deacons are available to help church members by answering questions, referring people to those who can help, listening, visiting, and staying in touch. Church members can call a Deacon anytime.The Deacons are prepared to provide or find services for you during a time of need, uncertainty, or joy.

The following structure is designed to employ the different gifts that Deacons offer as well as to provide comprehensive congregational care.

Board of Deacons

• Amanda Trueman, Moderator (Class of 2010)
• Jill Gilbert, Vice Moderator (Class of 2011)

• Linda Slicker, Secretary (Class of 2010) 
• Marian Greuling, Secretary-elect (Class of 2011)

 Pastoral Care

• Two Deacons will take a month, those Deacons will make calls, visits, and deliver meals when a member is in need.
• Mail cards for special occasions.

Member Assimilation

• Facilitate New Member Classes.
• Support and integrate new members in the life of the Church. 

Both groups will

• Serve Communion.
• Deliver flowers after Sunday services.
• Stand with pastors after services to help write notes.
• Make visitors feel welcome during coffee hour.
• Organize Annual Ice Cream Social.
