Worship Plus Small Groups Offer Adult Fellowhip & Spiritual Growth
Have you noticed that adults ensure that the children in our midst cultivate personal relationships with God? This is done through excellent programs such as Sunday morning church school, Choir Plus, Junior High Youth Fellowship, T.O.A.S.T and Youth Bible Study.
However, we adults often let the busyness of life interfere with the cultivation of our own relationship with Christ. One way to change this trend is through our new “Worship Plus” small group involvement.
The Membership/Fellowship Committee is encouraging all Worthington Presbyterian adult members and attendees to focus on their own faith development by attending worship, plus joining a group or groups in a variety of interest areas. This not only fosters individual spiritual growth, but also leads to the building of community.
Adult small groups at Worthington Presbyterian Church offer all people the opportunity to grow as disciples of Jesus. Members of the many small groups at WPC gather intentionally to reflect Jesus Christ’s love through fellowship, study, mutual support, joint service and/or fellowship; to deepen the spirituality of each participant; and to strengthen the community with the group.
In a church as large as Worthington Presbyterian, it is easy to remain unengaged. Through small groups, however, adults have the opportunity to make the large church become small and connect to our brothers and sisters in Christ, while building a personal relationship with Jesus.
